Gestalts!

In the G1 continuation of Transformers, a gestalt was a combiner.  They were usually made of five robots, but in the Japanese series they were made of six.  On the other hand, their names always started with Six...  Some examples of G1 combiners are: Devastator, Superion, Bruticus, Defensor, Predaking, and Computron.  Here are some examples of the Japanese combiners: Sixwing, Sixtrain,  and the Breast Force.
There are also some Transformers that can combine with  drones.  Here are some examples: Ultra Magnus, Star Convoy, God Ginrai, and Super God Ginrai.  Overall, Gestalts are really cool.

ROTF Leader Optimus Prime Review + a "Little" Surprise

Sorry about the delay.  It's finally here by unanimous vote: ROTF Optimus Prime.  There won't be any pictures of Prime in mid-transformation because it is already too dificult.  Here are the pictures:

Vehicle Mode:

This is the cab from the side.

This is the cab from the front.

This is the cab from the back.

Note: All six wheels turn.

Robot Mode:

This is the main body from the front.

This is the body from the side view.

This image is of the body from the back.

This shows that his legs can go: foward and backwards,

side to side, and his knees can bend.

It also shows that his feet are on a ball joint.

This shows that his shoulders can move back and foward.

They can also move to the side as well.

His elbows can bend.

His can can rotate.

This shows that you can pose his chest pieces however you want.

This also shows that his head can rotate.

(It is restricted by the roof of the truck.)

He doesn't have his energy axe in ROTF, but he does have two swords.

They're "hidden" on the side of his forearms.

"Little" Surprise: DOTM Preview Optimus Prime

This is the truck from the side.

Here is the truck from the front view.

Here is the truck from the back.

This is just the cab.

First, lift the cab section up from the engine.

Second, split the back of the cab, flip it around to the front.

Third, split the tires/trailer hitch.

Fourth, flip the trailer hitch pieces up.

Fifth, Push the cab section back.

Sixth, split the legs.

Seventh, extend the shin/lower leg section.

Eighth, flip the arms down.

Finally, flip the head up.

This is the trailer/gun section.

The trailer is made up of two rifles and a folded up jetpack.

To transform the jetpack you fold the wings up.

Optimus can hold a gun in either hand.

The jetpack can be just a jetpack, or...

assault shoulder cannons.

Toy Review

This week I was going to do a review of ROTF Optimus Prime, but I'm going skiing.  I will post the review sometime next week, and I put a new poll of what you want me to review towards the bottom of the page.

Transformers G1 Optimus Prime Toy Review

This is my first review, and I dan't have a very good camera.  At that, I don't even have a video camera.  So I will just have pictures in this review.  When I get a video camera I will make videos for all of my posted reviews. 

 This is Optimus Prime in his semi-truck mode.

As you can see he is a flat-nose cab.

 This is just the trailer itself with its iconic autobot symbol on it.

 This is just an image of the trailer's inside, with Roller.

 This is the trailer opened up into base mode.

 The base's content is a repair/firing station.

The station has three pivet joints

one at the base, one in the middle, and one below the station itself.

It also has a swivel joint right above the pivet allowing it to turn.

 

 The repair station also has an opening hatch for his pre-transformers, diaclone driver.

 The trailer also includes a docking/fuel station for Roller.

 This is Roller by himself.

He is a blue, scout car for Optimus, and has six wheels.

The window section that is flipped down is made of metal.

All six wheels are rubber and functional for rolling.

His legs have just been lowered, and the feet flipped into place.
His feet are made of metal.

 This shows the body in mid-transformation also.

His shoulders have been flipped out, and the forearms roted into place.

 This shows the body fully transformed.

His head has been flipped out, and his hands attached.

His arms can rotate for 360 degrees, and his forearms too.

His elbow bends, and his fits can rotate.
Optimus's legs can't move forward, or backward.
His knees, however, can bend.

 You can fit Prime's rifle into either hand.

Optimus is a little bit bigger than your average deluxe.

This is just an image of how Optimus fits in with the rest of the Primes in my collection.
He fits in very well, and is not the smallest.

I forgot to get an image, but Prime's rifle can be stored in the trailer in vehicle mode.
